Conference table

In SEO campaigns, successful partnerships are built on effective communication and transparent reporting. DTC is committed to delivering tangible results and making a measurable difference for our clients. We firmly believe that to gauge our impact, we must measure our progress.

We recognize that our clients rely on us for clear insights, timely updates, and a comprehensive understanding of how our SEO strategies influence their businesses. This page is dedicated to illustrating how we consistently meet and exceed these expectations.

Our commitment to you includes regular monthly reporting, customized to align with your specific requirements. In addition, we offer bespoke reporting, all presented in the format that works best for you. We have established client reports that are designed to show the metrics that matter most to SEO, but we can also incorporate the metrics that matter most to your business.

To streamline this process, we leverage Looker Studio, a powerful tool that consolidates data from various sources, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Semrush, and Google Search Console, and presents it in a comprehensive dashboard. This dashboard is accessible via a shared URL, allowing you to view, share, and collaborate effortlessly. What sets us apart is that all of our reporting is fully customizable, giving you the flexibility to pull in any metrics or dashboard views you desire. One size doesn’t fit all. We offer the flexibility to customize your reports, ensuring you receive the specific insights you require to make informed decisions and track your SEO progress effectively.

SEO Metrics and KPIs

Transparency is crucial to us. Our reports focus on key metrics and KPIs, allowing you to assess the success of your SEO campaigns. From organic traffic growth to conversion rates, we’ll provide the data that matters most to your business.

Tracking the right metrics is crucial for measuring the effectiveness of your campaign. Here are some of the most important metrics to keep a close eye on:

• Organic Traffic: This is the backbone of SEO. Monitor the number of visitors coming to your site through organic search results.

• Keyword Rankings: Keep track of your target keywords’ positions in search engine results pages (SERPS). An upward trend is a positive sign.

• Conversion Rate: Ultimately, the goal is to convert visitors. Track how many visitors that come from organic search turn into leads or customers.

• Engagement Rate: Metrics like time on page, pages per session, and dwell time can indicate how engaging your content is. Engagement rate has replaced the old “bounce rate” metric in GA4 as an important metric for assessing how useful and relevant your content is to visitors.

• Backlinks: Monitor the number and quality of backlinks to your site. High-quality, relevant backlinks are valuable.

• Indexation Status: Ensure that search engines are indexing all of your important pages. We use Google’s Search Console to monitor your site’s indexation. If certain pages are not being indexed, we’ll take steps to remedy the situation.

• Page Authority and Domain Authority: These metrics, often measured on a scale of 1-100, reflect the credibility and strength of your pages and domain. DA has become a poplar metric to focus on over the years because it is a number that can be compared across multiple domains. However, Domain Authority can be a misleading metric because it doesn’t take individual pages or important factors like the relevancy of your content into account. We look at DA in the context of the entire website and not at specific pages.

• Local SEO Metrics: If you have a physical location, we track local SEO metrics including Google Business Places performance and local keyword rankings.

• Crawl Errors and Technical Issues: Regularly check for crawl errors and technical issues that could hinder your site’s performance. Things like 404 errors, server errors, canonicals, and duplicate content can affect your rankings and should be fixed as soon as possible.

Report Summary

We start with a summary slide to track the monthly progress of what matters most to you. We also highlight major takeaways from the month and what’s coming next.

SEO Report Example
Organic Traffic Trends

Organic traffic, like that of any medium, can vary month-to-month and season-to-season. We use this section to keep an eye on long-term organic traffic trends.

Example report
Organic Traffic Acquisition

Total organic traffic is a fine high-level performance indicator, but it’s important to understand where organic users are entering your site. This section breaks down organic traffic by landing page, device type, and search engine. We also measure how many conversions were tied back to each entry point to see which pages are driving the most value for your organization.

Example report
Organic Conversions

Our conversion reports can compare e-commerce metrics like revenue or purchases, or any other GA4 events such as form fills or newsletter sign-ups. We display how these trend over time, as well as break down by medium to see how organic traffic compares to the rest of your digital marketing efforts.

Example report
Conversions vs. Traffic by Medium

This portion of the conversion report compares site traffic and conversions broken down by medium to see if one type of traffic is driving an outsized portion of one or the other. Perhaps organic traffic is not driving very much traffic but it’s converting very well – this is a way to tell that story visually.

Sample report
Tracked Keyword Ranking Position Distribution

In addition to traffic and conversion metrics from GA4, we also report on keyword data from Semrush and Google click and impression data from Google Search Console. The below chart is an example of tracked keywords broken down by position group over time – a good indicator of your site’s SERP visibility for the keywords that are most important to you.

Why Clients Love Working With Us

Lombardo Homes Logo

“I always feel like their only client, which is amazing.”

“They are immediately responsive to me and my needs and have worked hard to understand my business and competitors. I don’t feel like DTC and Lombardo are two different companies, but rather two departments working on the same team... The people that I’ve come in contact with at DTC have been amazing. I don’t know what you guys go through internally and what the training is, but even something as simple as customer service and being attentive to the client, and then coming up with real-life solutions is great. They’ve been superstars through all of this. I couldn’t say enough good things about what they’ve done for us, for our business. I would emphatically recommend them to anyone looking for this.”
