Study Gains 250+ Placements for B2B Healthtech Company

To boost authority in a competitive space, DTC launched an annual research-based campaign for a B2B healthtech firm focused on screen time usage. The campaign earned more than 250 media placements, including 52 links from DA 90+ sites, and continues to build links and visibility over time.

The Client

The Client is a data management firm that moves, stores, and manages patient, employee, and business records for healthcare organizations.

The Objective

The goal was to increase domain authority through high-quality media placements and brand mentions across both mainstream outlets and health and tech-focused websites. We aimed to generate long-term SEO value with content that earns links naturally over time.

SEO Content Strategy

  •

    The problem

  • The client had already built a strong SEO foundation, but their domain authority had hit a ceiling. To push past that plateau, they needed a high volume of quality backlinks that would make a measurable impact. One-off wins wouldn’t cut it. They needed a strategy that could scale and sustain link acquisition over time.

  •

    The solution

  • We created a repeatable digital PR campaign built around original survey research on screen time habits and health impacts. This topic sat at the intersection of trending news and healthcare, making it appealing to both mainstream and industry publications. The content was also optimized for terms like “phone addiction statistics,” allowing it to rank organically and earn backlinks long after outreach ended.

  •

    Why it matters

  • Effective digital PR does more than generate links, it builds long-term authority that lifts the entire site. By investing in a campaign format we could update each year, the client benefits from recurring placements and consistent momentum. That authority strengthens their most important pages, improves rankings, and compounds SEO gains with every new mention.

Over 50 placements came from DA 90+ websites, including Yahoo, CNBC, CNET, and Forbes, while the long tail includes dozens of DA 60–89 links from industry blogs and niche outlets.

Results

The screen time study earned over 250 placements across top-tier national news outlets, niche health and tech publications, and even .gov domains. Notably, 52 links came from sites with a domain authority of 90 or higher. The content continues to earn backlinks passively by ranking for high-volume terms like “phone addiction statistics,” and it now ranks across more than a dozen keywords related to screen time and phone usage statistics, capturing over 500 monthly visitors. The annual format also creates opportunities to build on the most cited data points each year, feeding consistent authority gains that support the site’s most important SEO goals.
