The Client

Topiarius is a Chicago-based luxury landscaping company. They specialize in transforming residential and commercial properties into outdoor sanctuaries.

The Objective

Topiarius came to DTC without any prior SEO work on their website. Our goal was to improve the company’s organic visibility in a competitive market while growing relevant leads.

  • Topiarius wanted to strengthen their organic visibility in a competitive market. Their website did not rank for many keywords and had limited organic traffic each month.

  • Our initial audits identified service pages without keyword targeting, a slowly loading website, and an unoptimized Google Business Profile.

    We worked with Topiarius to update the service pages with proper, local keyword targeting and an improved user experience. We then worked on improving page load times by optimizing the site for Core Web Vitals and ensuring images and stylesheets load seamlessly. Our GBP optimization consisted of updating service areas, adding UTMs to links, and ensuring all information was accurate.

    We then created specific service pages deliberately targeting audiences within their main service region — the Chicagoland area.

  • In Chicago’s highly competitive market, it’s important to stand out. Proper keyword targeting and a friendly UX helped our client jump to the top of the SERPs, leading to growing conversions.



The client experienced a significant improvement in tracked keyword rankings between December and February as a direct result of our SEO strategy. These tracked keywords signify the most relevant, business-focused searches that our client valued for business growth.



Organic traffic to their website dramatically improved year-over-year between December and February after we updated the pages and created newly optimized and targeted service pages.
